what i found today just really pissed me off.
i've been designing this web site that sells wines to japan. and i've made nice interface and okay let's ready to rock. started exporting to png since they are viewed better than GIF (i need transparency, so no jpeg)

according to this web site. To View PNG images correctly in IE 5.5 - 6, you need to implement this JavaScript.... reason is that since they don't view/handle alpha tranparency correctly. which is like..... hey number one browser.. why can't you just do this when weird not-so-necessary things like Active X are totally making things dangerous?
i guess.. you can use excel and all that windows can be integrated into web services easily but hey .png 8-bit ...best graphic format for web is not supported without the help of JavaScript that just pissed me off.
Microsoft.. please fix these normal issues first.
...
so the result of trying this script. it's totally loads activeX thing and just plain doesn't work. or this shouldn't be the option for web designer. since i want my site to be JavaScript less other than form validation. even that not recommended.
so i guess i'll just have to give up on .png at all.
please let me know if someone finds better solution.
